Terms and conditions



Bookings:

These can be made by email or telephone and should be accompanied by a deposit, by cheque, made out to Moccas Court. The amount of this deposit will be stated at the time, but is usually based on 25% price of room rate. This is a non refundable deposit, unless the room can be relet.

All payments must be made in sterling. We also accept Visa, Mastercard, Switch, American Express, Solo and JCB cards.

Prices

Prices for services may occasionally change after the booking date. We will honour the rate at which the room was booked. All other services will be charged at their new rate.

Drink

A full Liquor Licence is held by Moccas Court. A Corkage of £10.00 plus VAT, for a standard sized bottle, will be charged on all wines brought in by the client.

Rooms

All bedrooms must be vacated by 11.00am the following morning.

Smoking is not allowed inside Moccas Court.

Moccas Court is not unfortunately suitable for many forms of disabled access, due to its listed building status. Please check when making plans for disabled guests.

General

Please note that River Wye flows through the grounds and does constitute a hazard to all individuals, especially children and those who have consumed alcohol.

Booking and payment

Bookings: A provisional booking can be made verbally with written confirmation within 14 days. A signed copy of the Terms and Conditions must be accompanied by a 50% deposit. The balance will be invoiced six weeks prior to your wedding date. If you cancel 6 months prior to the reserved date, Moccas Court will make a full refund. Thereafter, each month will reduce the returnable deposit by 1/6th.

All payments must be made in sterling. We also accept Visa, Mastercard, Switch, American Express, Solo and JCB cards.

Numbers for accommodation must be confirmed with Moccas Court 2 weeks before your wedding date.

We require a list of all your suppliers and a full guests list for those staying in the house.

Insurance

We suggest that the client should arrange appropriate insurance for the event. Moccas Court carries its own full insurance for Weddings and public events.

Drink

The Liquor Licence is held by Moccas Court. All drinks to be supplied by us, unless otherwise agreed. A Corkage of 4.00 / standard sized bottle (incl VAT), will be charged on all wines brought in by the client. We will store wine before the event, dispose of all bottles, but not be responsible for serving or chilling it. This task must be built into the caterer’s quote.

Marquees

Marquee suppliers will be responsible for providing a generator for the client’s needs. Moccas Court cannot supply electricity to the Marquee.

Marquees arranged by the client must be removed within 48 hrs of the end of the reserved time (12am) and not be erected earlier than 48hrs before its start (11am). Tents erected or left (without our consent) will be subject to a £500/day surcharge. This is to prevent problems with following events.

Rooms

All bedrooms must be vacated by 11.00am the following morning.

If your plans include delivering guests by bus, please note that the driveway cannot accommodate large ones. Minibuses, however, are suitable.

General

Please note that River Wye flows through the grounds and does constitute a hazard to all individuals, especially children and those who have consumed alcohol. Please insure that all guests are made aware of this hazard.

All wedding services contracted by the client are the sole responsibility of the client, this includes services suggested by us at ‘Moccas Court’.

After the wedding reception in the house, Moccas Court will only be open to guests who are staying here. No alcohol can be taken back into the house. Reception rooms will be closed except by special arrangement.

The Wedding celebration shall be finished at 12.pm (unless otherwise agreed)

Moccas Court is a Private House and not a Hotel in the normal sense, and as such, we reserve the right to control access to non-staying guests and suppliers. This is for your own, and indeed our own, security.

Limitations on using this site

This site is for your personal use only and is designed for the sole purpose of providing information and services on Moccas Court. You may not modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, or sell any information, software, products or services obtained from this site, unless Moccas Court grants you specific permission in writing.

E-mail addresses posted on this site are not to be used by any seller of services, any compiler of mailing lists, or any other non-authorized use without prior written approval by Moccas Court.
