Moccas Court, Hereford
For an autumn break I can concoct few greater pleasures than English parkland, the River Wye and the Brecon Beacons not far away. The colours are rich and deep, and you will stay in a handsome brick mansion of rare beauty...The food is delicious, and you can wander to the river before tea for another lingering gaze at those autumn colours

Grand and groovy (The Guardian Saturday May 5 2007)
Britain's country hotels used to be a joke. Now, nowhere does them better, according to Herbert Ypma,
... Moccas Court in Heredforshire is a classic example..Authentic is the first word that comes to mind...arcadian scenes straight from an 18th-century landscape painting..In a sense, Moccas has invented a new variant on country escapes, the pure historical estate experience.

...Each shuttered window of our two heavenly bedrooms and bathrooms revealed a different aspect of a truly "lovely view of England"...It's hard to think of anywhere more lovely to spend a night... We arrived in the dark..in the morning each shuttered window of our two heavenly bedrooms and bathrooms revealed a different aspect of a truly "lovely view of England"..It's impossible to pigeonhole Moccas Court. It's a private home, run on house-party lines, with the luxury of a serious hotel...Ben is the chef and he cooks beautifully, all from the family Aga... we invited old friends who live nearby to join us: certainly one of the classiest dinner parties either of us have ever given."
The column rated us with one of their highest ever scores.
